  • 活動組敬邀所有家長和學生於一月二十二日下午四點於學生餐廳參觀課外活動秋季班成果展！扯鈴團隊、古箏學生、和武術學子都將現場表演，展現所學；國畫課、摺紙藝術、和東洋插花課精彩作品也將於學生餐廳入口處展示供大家欣賞。別忘了觀看書法組成員大筆揮毫，撰寫迎春納福的吉祥字，這些將免費贈送給大家快樂迎接新年！

注意事項
  • 支票抬頭請填寫『ECS』繳給課外活動課負責人。請為每個報名成員和課程分開開立支票。
  • 第一次上課才繳費者，學校將額外收費十五元遲交費。（延至十月二十三日）
  • 現任中文學校學生家庭成員，請於 ECS Online 報名，否則學校將另外收取每家二十五元註冊費。
  • 非現任中文學校學生家庭之成員，學校將收取每家二十五元註冊費。
  • 中文學校校外人等，學校除收取每家二十五元註冊費，學費加收百分之五十。
  • 在報名截止日後，學校有權取消未達開課人數要求或因場地變動而無法開課的課程。家長可選擇退費或報名其他的課外活動課。學校有權作實際狀況更動課外活動課相關規定。如有任何異動發生，學校將儘早通知相關家長。
  • 無論學生是否到達建議年齡，如果學生注意力或身手敏捷度不夠或時常擾亂上課，家長需依照教師指示從堂輔導。
  • The details of the extra-curricular classes for this school year 2024-2025 will be announced shortly.
  • All ECS parents and students are cordially invited to the Fall end-of-term exhibit and performance this Sunday, 1/22 at 4:00pm in Chantilly High School Cafeteria. There will be performances from the Yo-yo students on one stage and KungFu/GuZheng on another. Artwork from the Chinese Painting, Origami and Floral Arrangement Classes will be displayed near the southern entrance. The Chinese Calligraphy school team will demonstrate their penmanship and give away their authentic work (i.e. “春”、”福”), just in time for the Chinese New Year and a year of good luck.(Exhibit and Performance Map)

Notes
  • Please make check payable to "ECS" and submit it to Extra-curricular Class Coordinator. Please issue separate checks for each participant and class.
  • An additional $15 late fee required for payment received after the first class has started. (Waived until 10/23/2016)
  • For current ECS families, please register ECS Online to avoid a $25 per family registration fee.
  • A registration fee of $25 per family is required to register non-current-ECS families.
  • Families have no current or past tie to ECS pay 150% of Class fee in addition to a $25 per family registration fee.
  • The class may be cancelled due to lack of facility or participants after the registration deadline. The fee will be refunded or you may choose to register in another class. NVAECS has right to adjust the event due to school operational need, a change notice will be sent out to confirm. In the case ECS needs to adjust the class, ECS will do its best effort to notify the class as early as possible via the contact information provided in the application form. Please also refer to school Finance rules and regulation if you have any need.
  • Regardless of whether a student has reached the recommended age, if s/he does not have the necessary attention span or skills to participate in a class/club or is a significant distraction to others, parental involvement is required under instructor’s direction.

黄瑞蓮老師從 1983 年起，分別在華府中國文化中心，維華、希望和實驗中文學校開班授課。移居華府之前，曾任教於肯薩司大學美術系授教國畫多年，並取得美國的藝術學位。前後已有四十年教授國畫的豐富經驗。
Mrs. Monica Shia has been a Chinese Painting instructor since 1983 at various locations, including Washington DC Chinese Culture Center, Wei Hua, Hope Chinese Schools and ECS. Before moving to Washington DC area, she taught at the Art Department at Kansas University and received her degree in Arts. Overall, she has taught Chinese Painting for more than 40 years.

Instructor Profile:
Hi, my name is Kylor Chou, and I have been practicing wushu for eight years. I currently practice at Nova Wushu Academy and have competed at many competitions, including the Capital Games, University Games, and US Team Trials, I have also participated in and led many of our cultural performances, as well as helping out with teaching many of the younger students, whether through helping lead classes or judging sash tests. In this class, you will be able to learn the basics of wushu and explore the multiple different styles it has to offer.

This class will teach the students about making traditional Taiwanese masks for special events. Students will work to design, build and color in their masks in accordance with traditional culture. Students 6 and below will need to be helped by the parents.

瑜珈

Yoga

  • Instructor: Rachna Dadoo
  • Location: 1F Student Cafeteria

  • Fee: $160 for 8 classes
    • Rachna Dadoo has been practicing Yoga for almost 15 years now and teaching the same to all age groups, from kids to senior citizens, for the past 5 years. I incorporate some wonderful breathing and meditation techniques along with the myriad Yoga styles from India. To keep my classes interesting and challenging, I also include some core and muscle strengthening Pilates. I do help people make alternate lifestyle choices, if they are interested, based on the natural and traditional Indian Ayurveda way of living, to improve overall health and wellness. The classes are enriching and soul nourishing; an experience not to be missed!
