實驗中文線上系統
我忘記我的登錄密碼。所以我按照 Forgot Password 的程序送出重新設定密碼的請求，但是一直都沒有收到重設密碼的電郵。
請檢查電子信是否出現在 Spam Folder 裡。通常重新設定密碼的電郵會在送出申請後兩分鐘之內送達。如果沒有收到的話，絕大部分的情況，重設密碼的電子信都出現在 SPAM Folder 裡。
我跟我太太（先生）都各完成了一些服務記點相關的工作。 我們的點數會計算在一起嗎？
是。服務記點的計算是以每一個家庭為單位。在同一個家庭裡的每個成員（爸爸、媽媽、監護人等）所得到的服務點數將會加總在一起。如果登錄到『實驗中文線上系統』後，加總的服務點數會出現在 Service Point Report 裡。
我不會打中文，有沒有關係？
整個系統的操作介面和說明都是以英文為主。在需要填入資料的表格裡 有三個需要中文欄位：學生，家庭成員（父親，母親），還有緊急連絡人的中文名字，這位都是非必要可以空白的欄位。 其他的欄位可以同時接受英文和中文。
『實驗中文線上系統』完全可以在平板電腦（Tablet）上操作使用，比如 Apple iPad, Samsung Galay Tab, Nexus 7等。家長們可試著用平板電腦上的中文手寫輸入介面輸入中文字。
我的 Service Point Report 裡有列出這學期所完成的服務記點工作，但是在註冊時卻沒有相對應的退款項目，這是怎麼回事？
這很有可能是您個人檔案在資料庫裡有重覆。請直接電郵 itweb@nvaecs.org 說明您的情況和登錄帳號。相關人員收到後將迅速調整您的紀錄。
我的登錄帳號（電郵地址）己經不用了，我可以改變我的登錄帳號（電郵地址）嗎？
目前系統並不提供改變登錄用電郵地址的功能。如果您需要改變，請電郵 itweb@nvaecs.org 說明目前登錄和新的電郵地址，相關人員收到後將迅速調整您的紀錄。讓使用者能夠自行變更登錄用電郵地址的功能將在近期內加入。
學校服務記點制度
我只需要完成四點的服務工作，但我目前己經做了六點。我可以將多餘的兩點累積到下個學年嗎？
每個新學年開始，每個家庭己完成的服務點數將歸零，上個學年所累積多餘的點數無法累積到新的學年。學校的各項活動主要是透過服務記點制度來鼓勵家長們的參與，我們在此感謝您熱情參與與支持學校各項活動的進行。在學期結束前，學校會在特別的場合裡表揚熱情參與服務的家長們。
我的小朋友不讀了，可以退還服務點數費用嗎？
學校會根據『實驗中文線上系統』記錄在當年度的服務點數餘額，退還服務記點費。
學生註冊
我己經有一個六歲的兒子在上中文學校上課，下學期我想讓我三歲的女兒也一起來上課。我需要等到新生註冊開始再為我女兒註冊嗎？
己經有一個孩子在實驗中文上課的家庭，可以在舊生註冊期間（五月一日至五月三十一日）連同尚未就讀中文學校的孩子一同註冊，不需要分開註冊，或等到新生註冊期間（六月一日以後）。
我兒子上學期上完後就不上了，下學期的學費可以退嗎？
註冊時所繳交的學費是以一整學年為計算，不分上學期或下學期。所以如果上學期己經上滿前四堂課後，學費將不予退還。但是已經完成的服務點數費用可辦法退還。請參考詳細的退費規定。
Family ID
為了更有效率維持學校與服務點數相關的各項活動運作，將來許多需要家長服務的活動將需要填入Family ID。
使用 Family ID 有什麼好處？
- 每年家庭點數的結算是以家庭為單位。每個家庭可以有不同的帳號，包括爸爸媽媽，其他長輩或監護人等。不同的帳號用 Family ID 連結到同一個家庭，以確保家庭沒有遺露任何服務點數的計算。
- 目前許多家庭只有一個帳號（比如說媽媽），但是在登記服務點數工作後，實際參與活動簽到的可能是其他人（比如說爸爸或爺爺）。使用 Family ID 可以讓學校工作人員有效並正確地完成服務點數的記錄。
什麼時候需要使用 Family ID？
- 部分學術活動的簽到，比如：認字比賽裁判會議出席簽到。
- 部分活動需要家長向班爸媽登記。
我怎麼知道我的 Family ID 是什麼？
請登錄到 ECS Online 後，您的 Family ID 將顯示在主要畫面上面的歡迎訊息裡。
財務
中文學校的學費可以用來報 Dependent Care FSA (Flexisbile Spending Account) 費用嗎？
不可以。Dependent Care FSA 的費用主要是針對子女的 day care, after school care 和 summer camp 的費用。在星期日下午上課的中文學校並不符合這樣的資格。
教務
實驗中文學校有開成人班嗎？
沒有。實驗中文學校的學生對象僅限於年齡介於三歲到高中二年級的學生。目前也沒有開辦成人班的計劃。
有。實驗中文學校在於 2019-2020 學年第一次開辦成人會話班。
文宣
怎麼沒收到學校的公告電子信 (Weekly Announcement)？以前都有收到，怎麼突然沒有了？
學校在每個有上課的週日之前的那一週，一定會發出公告電子信。如果在星期五沒有收到中文學校的公告電子信，請先到 Spam Folder 檢查，如果是使用 Gmail 的家長，在 Spam folder 找到學校的公告電子信，請按滑鼠右鍵，選擇 "Not Spam"。

ECS Online
I clicked "Forgot Password" to request a temporary password but I never receive any email?
Please check your spam folder. You will mostly receive the email within two minutes after sending the request. There's high chance that the email ended up in your spam folder.
My wife (husband) and I have completed some service work for school. Would our points be added together?
Yes. The service point system is based on the family. The service point earned from the people (husband, wife, guardian, etc.) in the same family will be added together, which becomes the service point balance. If you log in to ECS Online, you can find your service point balance in the Service Point Report.
Is it OK if I don't know Chinese?
The user interface of ECS Online is completely in English. Only the following three fields in the forms that requires Chinese: "Student Chinese Name", "Family Member (Mother, Father or Guardian) Chinese Name", "Emergency Contact Chinese Name". There fields are not required and can leave blank. All other fields accept both English and Chinese.
ECS Online can be run smoothly on any tablet, such as iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Nexus 7, etc. You can enter Chinese with its handwriting input method.
My Service Point Report lists the services I've completed for current school year; however, they don't get reflected as a refund item in the registration page. Why?
It's likely that your personal profile has duplicate record in the database. Please email to itweb@nvaecs.org describing your case with your username. The IT staff will get your record fixed ASAP.
Can I change the username or the email address, which used to log in to ECS Online?
Currently you cannot change your username. If you really need to, please contact itweb@nvaecs.org with your current and new username (email addresses). The IT staff will update your account accordingly.
Service Point System
I only need 4 service points and I've completed services for 6 points. Can I pass the additional 2 points to next school year?
At the beginning of the school year, the fulfilled service points will be reset to 0. The additional service points from the previous school year cannot be pass on to the new school year. We appreciate your extra effort to make ECS a better learning environment for our children. Before the end of the school year, we will recognize the parents who has completed far more services than they need to.
My kid is quitting Chinese school. Can I get refund for the service point fee?
Yes, the service point fee will be refunded based on how many service points you have fullfilled. You can check the balance recorded on the ECS Online.
Student Registration
I have a 6-year-old son enrolled in the Chinese school. Now I'd like to enroll my 3-year-old daughter for the next school year. Do I need to wait until the New Student Registration Period starts? Or can I enroll both my kids together?
If the new student has a sibling studying in ECS, he/she can enroll with his/her sibiling during the Current Student Registration period (5/1-5/31) and does not need to wait until the New Student Registration period (from 6/1) starts.
My son will quit Chinese school after the fall semester is over. Can I get refund for the spring semester tuition?
The tuition from the initial student registration is for the whole school year, including both the fall and spring semesters. After the first four classes in the fall semester, the tuition will not be refunded. Please refer to the Return Policy on the registration page for more details.
About Family ID
In order to run the school events that involved service point tasks, many event sign-up may require the parents to fill in the Family ID.
What is good about the Family ID?
- The service point calculation is based on individual family, which can have multiple accounts (parents, grandparents, guardian, etc.). The Family ID ensures all the service points from different accounts that are associated to the same family are accounted for.
- Many families have only one account (such as mom's account) assoiated to the family. A service point task can be signed up by the only account user (e.g. Mom) but the service point task can be fulfilled by another person (e.g. Dad) - which creates confusion in some circustances. With the use of Family ID can allow the school to efficiantly record such service task in the system without confusion.
When to use the Family ID？
- Some academic events, such as the sign-up sheet for the vocabulary contest judge meeting.
- Some events that the families can sign up with the room parents, such as the New Year Festival
How do I know my Family ID
Please log in to ECS Online and your Family ID will be displayed right after the welcome message on the main page.
Finance
Can I include Chinese school tuition for the Dependent Care FSA (Flexisbile Spending Account)?
No. Chinese school tuition is not qualified for Dependent Care FSA, which is mostly for the expense from day care, after school care and summer camp.
Academic
Does ECS have adult Chinese class?
No. ECS is only for students aged between 3 to 16 (2nd year in high school). Currently ECS has no plan to start any adult Chinese classes.
Yes. The Adult Chinese class started in 2019-2020 school year.
Publication
I did not receive the Weekly Announcement email from the school? I used to received it....!
ECS will alwyas sends out Weekly Announcement (WA) before the Sunday that has the Chinese School. If you don't see it in your Inbox folder, please check your Spam Folder. If you have a Gmail Account, please right-click the email in the Spam Folder and select "Not Spam".
