The service point system is a point-based system that encourages parents to participate and help the school promote various activities. The student family is required to pre-pay the service point fee during the registration for the upcoming school year. The family will then receive a refund at the next student registration, depending on how many service points have been fulfilled by the parents in the family.
Service Point Sign-Up and Inquiry
Parents can log onto Parent Portal to sign up for any available services and check service point balance.
Requirements and Policies
- Each service point is equivalent to $25.
- Families with single student are required to complete 5 service points per school year ($125).
- Families with multiple student enrollments are required to complete 10 service points per school year ($250).
- Service points do not carry over to the following school year.
- NVAECS board members will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of service points.
- NVAECS board members will maintain each family’s service points. Parent service points will not be able to carry over to the following year.
- In the event which a parent is unable to fulfill the service duty that he/she signed up for, the parent shall provide advanced notice and nominate a substitute to the General Affairs coordinator.
- The registration for the following school year for current students will start on May 1st. In order to calculate the correct refund amount from the fulfilled services for each family, May 1st is the cut-off date for the services that will be counted towards the current school year. The service points from the services on or after May 1st will be counted toward the following school year.
- Families with students who will graduate from NVAECS can receive their refund at the end of the school year based on the family’s service point balance. An notification email will be sent to the parents to pick up the check in the school office.
- Students who have not graduated and registered in the current school year, and wish to request a refund of the previous year’s service point fees must submit a request for a refund to the General Affairs Office for review by October 31. (Download the request form)
