Thank you Dragon Boat Warriors!

The Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival was held on Saturday, May 16, 2026. NVAECS entered two boats into the competition: Youth (12-17 years old) and Adult. Thank you for those who joined us at this popular cultural and exciting event!

Previous information:

• We need both male and female paddlers in each boat
• No experience is required
• NVAECS will provide lunch for each paddler on the day of the race
• NVAECS alumni families are welcome to join, but we will give preference to current families if we don’t have enough spots available
• Adults team members will receive up to 5 service points, 1 point for each practice, 3 points for race day. (Service points will be applied to the 2026-2027 school year)
• Practices will be at The Wharf, 975 Wharf Street, SW, Washington, DC 20024
• Practice 1: April 26, 2026 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Anacostia Community Boathouse (ACBA), 1900 M Street SE, Washington, DC 20003
• Practice 2: May 9, 2026, 12:00 PM – 13:30 PM, The Wharf
