Dragon Boat Warriors Wanted!

The Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025. NVAECS has entered two boats into the competition: Youth (12-17 years old) and Adult. Come and join us at this popular cultural and exciting event!

• We need both male and female paddlers in each boat
• No experience is required
• NVAECS will provide lunch for each paddler on the day of the race
• NVAECS alumni families are welcome to join, but we will give preference to current families if we don’t have enough spots available
• Adults team members will receive up to 5 service points, 1 point for each practice, 3 points for race day. (Service points will be applied to the 2025-2026 school year)
• Practices will be at The Wharf, 975 Wharf Street, SW, Washington, DC 20024
• Practice 1: April 27, 2025, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Wharf
• Practice 2: May 4, 2025, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Wharf
