Let’s Learn Mandarin (For Children) Book 3B Review Pinyin and previously learned characters Practice conversations Practice word formation, sentence making and writing Develop reading skills through short texts and stories written with Pinyin

Listening: Can understand and follow the teacher’s instructions Can understand questions from the teacher and others, as well as classmates’ responses Can understand a short spoken passage or description of an event Speaking: Can respond to the teacher’s questions using complete sentences Can engage in polite conversations with others Can describe a simple scene or object in a clear and coherent paragraph after observing pictures or real-life items Reading: Can accurately recognize and read Hanyu Pinyin, including compound finals and tones (four tones and the neutral tone) Can read aloud the lesson texts and understand their meaning Writing: Can write Pinyin when given Chinese characters and write Chinese characters when given Pinyin Can form words and sentences using learned characters (using Pinyin for unfamiliar characters)
