Class Description
This course is designed for students with at least 1 years of exposure to Chinese. Multiple topics in real life will be introduced in this course. Students will use common expressions and polite greetings to exchange information for various topics, such as self-introduction, family members, school, occupation, weather and season, leisure activities, meetup plans, food and drink, color and clothes, vacation and travel plans, etc. Students will learn to function in real-life situations using advanced and commonly used vocabulary, complex sentences, and language structures.
Students will have frequent teacher and peer interactions throughout this 12-class session. This course provides students with substantial opportunities for oral presentations. Students will practice frequently to communicate in Chinese with each other. This will be a highly interactive and engaging language class, and it will be fun, too!
Teacher’s Biography
Dr. Wang has been dedicated to the field of education since the late 1980s. A graduate of National Taiwan Normal University, she specializes in activity-based teaching methods. By incorporating hands-on exercises, discussions, and project-based learning, she aims to deepen students’ understanding and foster the practical application of knowledge.
Recognized for her outstanding teaching achievements, Dr. Wang has been honored with the Senior Excellent Teacher Award. She is renowned for her teaching style, which integrates real-world insights into the classroom. Through on-site guidance, she strives to establish strong and supportive teacher-student relationships, helping students achieve a balance between academic and personal growth. Dr. Wang is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
